Underwater Museum —
Croatia
Hidden beneath the crystal-clear waters of Jelinak Bay, a few nautical miles from Trogir, lies Croatia's most extraordinary secret — the only underwater museum in the country. Handcrafted ferrocement sculptures rest on the seabed at depths of 4 to 10 metres, forming an open-air gallery unlike anything else on the Adriatic. The centrepiece is an 8-metre Jesus Christ statue at 10 metres depth, flanked by the 14 Stations of the Cross at shallower 4-metre depths and the wreck of a Soko Jastreb J-21 military aircraft.
What makes this experience truly special is its accessibility. With most exhibits sitting at just 4–5 metres, you don't need a diving certification — snorkelling and free-diving are enough to explore the main sculptures up close. The bay's remarkably clear water means visibility is excellent on most days, and the site is calm and sheltered. For certified divers, the deeper exhibits at 10 metres reveal the full scale of the collection in extraordinary detail. On-site snorkel and fins rental, an aqua park, a beach bar, and shower facilities make this a full half-day or full-day destination.
Adriatic Pass partners with Underwater Museum Croatia to offer a 10% discount on all group tours departing from Split. Choose the Kuzma boat for a classic 2-island adventure, or upgrade to the Korsaro — a glass-bottomed boat that adds the Blue Lagoon and a full lunch to the itinerary. The bay is accessible only by boat, and the organised tour from Split is the easiest and most scenic way to arrive. All information regarding departure time, meeting point, and any other details will be provided upon ticket purchase.

“I went diving for the very first time with Blue Nautic at the underwater museum and it was such an incredible experience! The instructors were absolutely amazing — calm, professional and supportive. Once underwater, it was magical — swimming among the statues, seeing the marine life up close. I couldn't have asked for a better first diving experience. Highly recommend to anyone, especially beginners!”
